At Coxley Holt after the hedgelaying, there was a gap at Mill Lane end due to dead material. We have planted 50 bareroot native hedging whips, including Hawthorn, Bird Cherry, Field Maple, Hazle and Blackthorn. These have all been protected by rabbit guards while they establish. In the layed hedge we have also put in some Dog rose. We look forward to seeing the hedge grow and flourish, providing more habitat for the local wildlife and a more secure site for the Holt.
